The basics

Size: Shosai puffer usually run about 20-30cm.
Typical catch: Roughly 5-20 per angler. Missed strikes are frequent, so numbers depend on how well you read the bite.
What it is like: A kattou rig snags the puffer as it comes to the bait. You sense a very light pre-bite and strike sharply.

Handling: Pufferfish are poisonous. Never clean them at home; always have a licensed handler or the boat operator's service prepare them.
